Who is she ?
Mercury is an enigma.
If you were to go on first appearance, you'd think that Mercury was just your average,
teenaged girl but there's a lot more to her then meets the eye. John and Merc
first met when Constantine was on the run from the police (he was wanted for the deaths of his landlord
and a fellow flatmate - it's a long story). John ended up travelling with Merc, her guardian
Marj and a group of hippies.
Mercury is a powerful psychic, which led to her being kidnapped by an insane cult that planned to use her as
a 'power source' for the fear machine. The three way relationship between John, Mercury and Marj was
an interesting one which ended abruptly when Garth took over the title.
