Beaten to a pulp by Wright's thugs, Constantine seeks help from Chas. Pausing only to contemplate the use
of his crowbar on John's assailants, Chas bundles his beaten friend into his cab along with the contents of Constantine's house.
Seeking to recover from his beating, John retreats to The Hotel Holt, in marked contrast to his current abode - the Hotel
Holt is very much an uptown establishment. Constantine gleans some small comfort from the fact that Wright's thugs don't follow
him.
After a quick visit from the hotel doctor and paying off Chas, Constantine stands alone in his hotel room. John confronts the fear and hate
that hangs heavy in the London air and uses it to forge his revenge against his betrayer - Hawkstorm. John sends his spirit out on the night air
and threatens Hawkstorm with dire consequences for his actions.
With petty revenge gained, and Josh Wright under the mistaken impression that John's run off with his tail between his legs, Constantine returns
to his plan to avenge Isabel's death.
