November 22nd, 2004 - Description of first theatrical trailer - A man pours water across the floor, and Constantine, barefoot, in a chair, places his feet in the water. Constantine: "Cold." Man: "Are you sure you want to do this?" Constantine: "No." Man: "Then here goes!" The man shoves a stick into the water and it causes something to happen (don't know what). Constantine's face twists and he grits his teeth in pain. The Warner Brothers logo warps into focus. - Rachel Weisz appears, telling Keanu that she wants to ask some questions. (This is footage from the teaser.) Constantine doesn't seem interested. There is footage of someone on the ceiling, and dialogue about an exorcism that I didn't catch. - Constantine and another man, examining items (presumably for Constantine) on a table. Constantine picks one of them up, which looks like a short staff. Constantine identifies it as "dragon's breath". Constantine: "I thought you couldn't get this anymore." Testing it out, the staff fires a large burst of flame. - Rachel Weisz is in Constantine's apartment again. Weisz: "I was hoping you could at least point me in the right direction." Constantine: "Yeah." He points at the door, and Weisz looks disappointed. - Cityscape, followed by a scene inside a club, water raining down (from the original teaser). Constantine: "What would you think if I told you that God and the Devil made a wager?" I am not sure about the rest of the dialogue, but I think it has to do with whoever makes their presence known on Earth becomes the ruler. I would guess this is part of the comic book, and someone who's read it could clarify. - Weisz seems intrigued, and Constantine is apparently going to do perform some sort of supernatural ritual. Constantine (paraphrased): "I just want you to know what you're getting into. If you see them, they can see you. There's no going back." Constatine lowers Weisz into a bathtub filled with water, submerging her. She opens her eyes beneath the water, and all of it comes bursting out of the tub, along with her. Constantine is thrown aside, and Weisz struggles to breathe. There is a shot of her riding a bus, and seeing a creature of some sort in the seat ahead of her. - Some sort of red energy blasts past the windows of Constantine's apartment. The same visual imagery is the background of the Warner logo at the beginning of the trailer. - The shot of Weisz being pulled backwards out of an office building, the main footage from the original teaser, is here. - There is a montage of shots. Unfortuantely, there are so many I have certainly forgotten more than half of them, but some of them are: A shot of Constantine putting his forearms together in front of himself, as if defending from something, with a strange warped background; another shot of him gritting his teeth, from the beginning of the trailer; something (maybe Constantine) crouched in an unusual position on the floor; the short clip of Constantine fighting some sort of bat creatures (from the original teaser). The tagline cut in here is "Hell Wants Him. Heaven Won't Take Him. Earth Needs Him." - A black man in a white suit walks through a window.
